The GK Project is the next in a number of projects designed to create advanced soldiers for the battlefield of the future. When the ReVAMP Program that developed cybernetic soldiers went wildly over budget, another solution was needed. Dr. Kim Mera used her knowledge of genetic modification to create soldiers that would have powers that would make them stand out over regular human soldiers. The first test subject , GK Alpha, was created as a one-man army . He can fly with large bat wings, shoot bioelectricity from his hands , and given his octopus DNA, he can blend into his surroundings and has four arms giving him a total of eight appendages . But Alpha rebelled and broke out of the GK Project labs. GK Beta was created to work with the Army and pursue GK Alpha. Lessons were learned from the GK Alpha program and the Betas were made to be more compliant. GK Gamma was created to work with the CIA to spy with animal powers. GK Delta is the combined strike force intended for commando operations. The next phase , GK Epsilon, is still on the drawing board, but Dr. Mera is always looking at the next human-animal hybrids.
