NYCC ’19: Dark Horse Announces “Alter Nation: The Mystery of Whining Winny”
Dark Horse have announced a partnership with Panda Mony Toys for comic books based on their new toy line Alter Nation, beginning with next year’s graphic novel “Alter Nation: The Mystery of Whining Winny” by writer Tim Seeley and artist Mike Norton. The book and toy line revolves around the GK Delta Special Forces, a secret group of hybrid human-animal operatives protecting the world from their secret island base off the California coast.
“The Mystery of Whining Winny” will see GK Delta head to Nevada following recent monster sightings there: the team will have to determine if this menace can be reasoned with and recruited, or if it’s a threat that they will have to protect the locals from.
Dark Horse and Panda Mony Toys will release a free 12-page digital preview of the graphic novel on October 31, the day the toy line hits store shelves. You can find out more about the toy line at the official website, which has the comic books spotlighting each character that will come packaged with their toys. “The Mystery of Whining Winny” will be released in summer 2020, and will retail for about $14.99.
